On behalf of Satish's many friends and associates who worked with him at Melbourne International Airport please express my condolences to his family and that we are all saddened at this tragic news.
I first met Satish when he arrived at Tullamarine International from Aviation College in Melbourne and it was readily apparent that he was the stand out student of his class professionally competent and with his enquiring mind it wasn't surprising that he was quickly promoted.
With the impending changes to Airspace Managment being brought about by Dick Smith (Chairman CAA), the emerging field of I.T. was an attractive alternative for those looking for something different and a number of us undertook Diploma studies in Information Technology at Kangan Tafe to gear up for the future and Satish took to programming like a fish does to water which was lucky as the Airspace consolidation plan was quickly put into place and we had the new foundations of an exciting and rewarding career to consider.
Whether it was frollicking about making a mess on holi or fitting in and celebrating with a BBQ on Australia Day, Satish did it with an affable and engaging manner and occassionally with an impish grin on his whistle when he was having a bit of fun.
He will always be remembered for his gentle positive and intelligent attitude both to life and to those who he chose to share it with.
